Muster-Zulassung für P2012 in Ecuador

Tecnam baut seine Präsenz in Südamerika weiter aus: Die ecuadorianische Luftfahrtbehörde DGAC hat die komplette P2012-Familie des italienischen Herstellers validiert. Damit sind alle Varianten – Traveller, STOL und Sentinel SMP, jeweils mit Lycoming- oder Continental-Triebwerken – ab sofort unter ecuadorianischer Registrierung einsatzbereit.

Die Entscheidung folgt auf die erste Auslieferung eines P2012 Traveller im Juli 2025 an Transair Leasing, Tecnam-Vertreter für Ecuador, Kolumbien, Peru und Panama. Mit der nun erteilten Gesamtzulassung steht Betreibern im Land die gesamte Bandbreite der P2012-Plattform offen – von Passagier– und Frachtflügen über Medevac bis hin zu Spezialmissionen.

Gerade für Ecuadors anspruchsvolle Topografie mit Anden, Amazonasgebiet, Küste und Galápagos ist die Kombination aus STOL-Fähigkeit, zweimotoriger Sicherheit und moderner Avionik von strategischer Bedeutung. Transair Leasing rechnet entsprechend mit stark wachsendem Interesse lokaler Betreiber.

DieP2012 bietet Platz für bis zu neun Passagiere plus Crew, ist nach aktuellen CS-23/FAR-23-Standards zertifiziert und als vielseitiger Ersatz für ältere zweimotorige Muster konzipiert. Mit der DGAC-Freigabe ist der Weg für einen breiten Markteintritt von Tecnam in Ecuador und der Andenregion frei.

Airbus Polen und Draco Aircraft unterzeichnen Vertrag
Airbus und Draco bauen in Polen ein HyperSTOL-Flugzeug der nächsten Generation mit dem Namen „Draco“. Airbus Polen wird die geistigen Eigentumsrechte an der „Wilga“ übertragen, einem viersitzigen Mehrzweckflugzeug, das zwischen 1967 und 2008 mehr als 1.000 Mal in Polen bei PZL-Okęcie hergestellt wurde. Wilga wird zu einer leistungsfähigeren Draco-Version und wird sowohl von der Europäischen Agentur für Flugsicherheit (EASA) als auch von der US-Luftfahrtbehörde (FAA) zertifiziert. Draco verfügt über Kurzstart- und Kurzlande-Fähigkeiten (HyperSTOL): sie braucht nur 30 Meter für den Start und 25 Meter für die Landung, auf jeder beliebigen Oberfläche. Darüber hinaus bietet Draco ein neues Flugerlebnis sowohl für den Piloten als auch für die drei Passagiere, eine luxuriöse Kabinenausstattung und alle Sicherheitsmerkmale.

Draco Aircraft wurde entwickelt, um eine zertifizierte Version des visionären Draco-Konzepts von Mike Patey ins Leben zu rufen. Mike Patey hat der Verwendung seiner Konzepte zugestimmt. Draco Aircraft wird dieses revolutionäre Flugzeug unter der Leitung des ehemaligen Airbus Senior Vice President und CEO von Airbus Polen, Johannes von Thadden, zusammen mit einem Team von Partnern und erfahrenen Designern auf den Markt bringen. Tomasz Wolf, ehemaliger Leiter der Wilga-Konstruktion bei Airbus Polen, wird sein Fachwissen als Chief Engineering and Design Advisor einbringen und dafür sorgen, dass der Know-how-Transfer und der Aufbau des Konstruktions- und Ingenieurteams von Draco Aircraft reibungslos verlaufen.

The Short TakeOff and Landing variant of the P2012 Traveller is designed to operate in the world’s most demanding commercial airports. Tecnam announced that the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has awarded full-type certification to the P2012 Traveller in its STOL variant. The P2012 STOL aircraft, specifically designed for short take-off and Landing operations, is engineered and tailored to operate from airports and airstrips characterized by extremely short runways and extreme operational constraints. The 18-month extensive certification campaign ensured impressive Takeoff and Landing performance, while still maintaining a 99% commonality of parts with the standard P2012 Traveller series aircraft to enhance the P2012 STOL supportability and to provide a “fleet” option.

Addressing the needs of a niche market that has been underdeveloped and unsupported for decades, the P2012 STOL Tecnam once again provides a solution for operators seeking a modern, spacious, comfortable, safe yet stylish aircraft with outstanding STOL capabilities for their business. With the production aircraft already in the final stage of the assembly line, the P2012 STOL is ready for the first deliveries to customers filling an uncovered gap in commercial aviation.

The Aircraft
The P2012 STOL is the only twin-piston aircraft with Short Take-Off and Landing capabilities that complies with the latest certification amendments. It offers a maximum gross weight of 3680 kg / 8113 lb with a useful load of 1284 kg / 2831 lb while maintaining a modern design, a wide and comfortable cabin and 11 seats. The cabin entrance and accommodation are enhanced by a wide single access door and a central aisle; moreover, a dedicated window for each of the 9 individual passengers, no bench/double seats and the best passenger amenities are provided such as USB ports, cabin air conditioning, individual fresh and hot air outlets, dedicated reading light, seat pockets and cup and mobile phone holders. The interior design and the superb view granted by the “high wing” configuration provide a “best-in-class” experience for the flights to typical remote STOL destinations.
