Anlässlich der Air Expo Abu Dhabi 2024 gibt Diamond Aircraft einen Vertrag über den Erwerb von zwei DA40 und einer DA42 durch die neu gegründete Flugschule Project Aviation“ in Abu Dhabi sowie die Auslieferung der ersten DA50 RG an die VAE bekannt. Die einmotorigen DA40- und zweimotorigen DA42-Kolbenflugzeuge von Diamond Aircraft werden weltweit von Flugschulen für die Ausbildung der nächsten Piloten-Generation eingesetzt.

Sie werden mit Jet-Fuel betrieben, um maximale Effizienz und Nachhaltigkeit zu gewährleisten und sind mit Garmin-Glascockpit-Avionik ausgestattet. Die einmotorige DA50 RG verfügt über eine Zelle aus Kohlefaser, ein leistungsstarkes 300 PS starkes CD300 Jet-Fuel-Triebwerk, ein Einziehfahrwerk und eine extragroße Kabine mit Platz für bis zu fünf Passagiere und Platz für zusätzliches Gepäck.

The new DA62 MPP SurveyStar has been delivered by Diamond Aircraft Austria to RIEGL Laser Measurement Systems and it will be immediately implemented for test and calibration flights. RIEGL and Diamond Aircraft Austria have been collaborating for almost 20 years. Since 2007, RIEGL has owned and operated the proven DA42 MPP GeoStar, which has completed all missions to date with the utmost satisfaction. The increased requirements in recent years have now made it necessary to „upgrade“ to the new DA62 MPP SurveyStar. The new DA62 MPP SurveyStar involved close collaboration between RIEGL and Diamond Aircraft to professionally integrate and efficiently utilize the entire RIEGL sensor and system portfolio.
