Robin Showcases Turbine Power

Debuting at Aero Friedrichshafen 2023, the DR401 TP-R90 engine boasts 155 hp with a dry weight of only 65 kg. Consuming 32 liters/hour at 75% power the engine will run on almost any fuel: Jet A-1, automotive diesel, Avgas, UL91, biofuels, and even hydrogen. Quieter than a piston engine, with minimal vibration, high reliability, no thermal shock, and low maintenance (TBO currently 3,000 hours with 5,000 hours anticipated) the turbine Robin DR401 has huge potential. The prototype shown at Aero Friedrichshafen will be flying at Darois soon, with certification in process. Source: ‚MistralAviation‚.
